Dr. Karin Moore

I am a technology leader with a PhD in Global Leadership and Change, focused on attracting and retaining Women and Girls in STEM.
I know first-hand what it is like to navigate a career in STEM, while raising a family. With an MBA and Engineering degree, I have delivered successful results across a wide array of functions and companies. Now it is time to give back using my experiences and education.
My learnings, as both a scholar and STEM professional, are here to help other women in STEM be successful. I am the mentor, ally, and coach that can help you break through barriers in male dominated spaces, having lived and navigated them with grace and resilience.
In addition to The STEM Woman, I am also a Fellow and member of the faculty at Pepperdine University where I continue my research and teach.
My PhD Thesis
My PhD’s focus was on success strategies and barriers facing women and girls in STEM. Upon publishing, I had to make a decision on how it would be disseminated. I could either make it “open” whereby the host could then sell my PhD with no royalties to me, or I could make it “closed” where I maintained ownership of my intellectual property. I chose the latter. You can preview parts of it, and choose to download it at a nominal cost. 100% of proceeds go to fund Dingo Team Animal shelter in Armenia.
I founded The STEM Woman, to help women across STEM industries and academia find their voice and their passion.
I am also a mom of two amazing young people who are in the process of launching into the world. I balanced motherhood while growing my career. It required a lot of understanding and compassion for myself. I am here to support you as you do the same.
